Brighton 1-1 Arsenal: Player Ratings as the Gunners lose further ground on Liverpool in a frustrating draw at the AmEx Stadium
Brighton hosted Arsenal at the American Express Stadium in the Premier League on January 4 and the two teams played out an exciting 1-1 draw.
The Gunners made a fantastic start to the game and were led by young star Ethan Nwaneri, who grabbed the opening goal with a lovely finish after 16 minutes. They continued to dominate possession but were unable to convert their chances, while Brighton struggled to create much in the first half.
However, the Seagulls came out for the second half with renewed vigour and earned a penalty at the hour-mark. Joao Pedro stepped up and converted to make it 1-1. Both Arsenal and Brighton struggled to create much as the game ended in a cagey fashion.
