Brighton set to announce the joining of IFK Göteborg midfielder

As inflicted by transfer market expert ‘Fabrizio Romano’, Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion have securely signed all the paperwork for IFK Göteborg’s central midfielder Malick Junior Yalcouyé. The 18-year-old is now set to join the English club for a transfer fee sighted in the region of £8.45 million (€10 million) including any potential add-ons.

The Cote d’Ivoire-born player is cited to be an exciting talent. Despite Yalcouyé’s primary position as a central midfielder, he is well capable of playing as a right-midfielder as well. In the 2024 Allsvenskan season so far, he has played 11 games for Göteborg registering a goal to his tally. It will be fascinating to see how the youngster fares under the Seagulls’ new manager Fabian Hürzeler.
