Brentford Join Race With Wolves to Sign Plymouth Argyle Forward Morgan Whittaker
Amid reportedly aggressive pursuit of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brentford entered the race to sign the on-demand forward, Morgan Whittaker this summer. The Bees, who have been in a hunt of a quality player to strengthen their attacking department this season, is monitoring the current situation of the player at Plymouth Argyle.
According to Football Insider, Brentford are among a bunch of clubs to have shown interest in the 23-year-old Championship player. Plymouth, however, have no intention to sell one of the prolific footballers of the club. The English forward, who also played for Swansea City, netted 19 goals and assisted 8 times in the recently concluded Championship.
Brentford and Wolves are reportedly engaged in a fierce transfer battle for the Plymouth forward. They are not the only ones to have been a part of this transfer race. Other prominent European clubs such as Celta Vigo and Lazio are also interested in breaking the banks for Whittaker. Plymouth have reportedly put a price tag of €15 million on the player.
