Breaking: Fulham agrees a deal to sign Villarreal defender

According to ‘Fabrizio Romano’, Premier League club Fulham has struck a deal with La Liga side Villarreal to sign Spanish defender Jorge Cuenca. A final agreement is in place between both clubs and the center-back is imminent to join the Craven Cottage-based team in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The financial details of the deal are yet to be revealed on an official note. However, Romano has asserted that Jorge Cuenca is ‘set to travel’ to London for his scheduled medical at Fulham. The 24-year-old will reportedly sign a five-year contract deal with the Premier League club running till June 2029.

The center-back would become Fulham’s second signing this window after earlier the Cottagers poached Emile Smith-Rowe from Arsenal.
