Brazil legend Kaka’s wife reveals bizarre reason why she left him

Brazil legend Kaka’s ex-wife, Caroline Celico, has revealed the utterly bizarre reason why she left him. As per Celico, Kaka was “too perfect” for her, he never treated her badly, but she remained unhappy in the relationship.

While these comments seem impossible to believe, the timing of her releasing this information also begs questioning as it is out of the blue.

What did Kaka’s wife think of their relationship?

Kaka and Caroline Celico tied the knot in 2006 but things turned sour a decade later. Speaking about the relationship they shared, Celico said about Kaka,

“Kaka never betrayed me, he always treated me well, and he gave me a wonderful family, but I was not happy, something was missing. The problem is he was too perfect for me.”

Celico’s comments caused major uproar among fans of Kaka who have supported him throughout his playing days for AC Milan, Real Madrid and Brazil. They were unhappy with the nature of the comments as it implied that Kaka was a boring person with a dull personality, which is far from true.

He has been hailed as a warm and caring teammate by nearly everyone he played with. However, Celico and his relationship went through a rocky phase and they separated in 2015. Kaka has now moved on and married their current partner Carolina Dias Liete.

Kaka’s career overview

Kaka was renowned for his stints with AC Milan and Real Madrid at the club level, as well as his contributions to Brazil in their famous yellow & blue.

He made 307 appearances for Milan between 2003-09, scoring an impressive 104 goals and providing 81 assists. With them, he won the Serie A in 2003-04, the UEFA Champions League in the 2006-07 season, and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2007. He also won the Ballon d’Or in 2007.

He made just 120 appearances for Los Blancos in nearly five years at the club, scoring 29 goals and providing 39 assists. With them, he won La Liga in 2011-12 and the Copa del Rey in the season prior to that.
