Barcelona plot bold move for AC Milan star Rafael Leao
Barcelona are reportedly eyeing a sensational bid for AC Milan’s star winger Rafael Leao as they seek to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window closes.
According to reports from Spain the Catalan giants are prepared to go all out to secure the Portuguese talent who has been a key player for Milan.
Leao, valued between €90 million and €100 million has caught the attention of Barcelona after the club failed to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao earlier in the summer. With the transfer deadline fast approaching, Barcelona sees Leao as the perfect fit for their left-wing position.
A complicated deal for Barcelona to sign Rafael Leao
Signing Leao, however, will not be easy for Barcelona. The club’s financial situation means they would need to offload some of their higher earners to raise the necessary funds. Reports suggest that Barcelona could consider a player-plus-cash deal to make the transfer more feasible.
Names like Raphinha, Ferran Torres, Andreas Christensen, Alejandro Balde, and Ignacio Martinez have been floated as potential makeweights in a swap deal. However, injuries to key players like Frenkie De Jong, Ronald Araujo, and Ansu Fati could complicate matters.
