Barcelona open to selling Gundogan, midfielder considering Manchester City return

Barcelona are reportedly open to selling Ilkay Gündogan this summer with the club and the player agreeing that a transfer could benefit both parties.

Gundogan who recently turned 33 is seen as a key player for Barca not just for his skills on the pitch but also for his significant salary which the club is looking to free up to register new signings.

Barca are now waiting for Gundogan to receive and present an offer that interests him. The German midfielder after discussions with Hansi Flick has agreed to leave before the transfer window closes on August 31.

Although no official offers have been made Gundogan is reportedly open to the idea of returning to Manchester City where he enjoyed tremendous success under Pep Guardiola winning five Premier League titles and a Champions League.
