Barcelona not eager to let Clement Lenglet leave on loan to Atletico Madrid
The Catalan giants are currently reluctant to let defender Clement Lenglet join Atletico Madrid on loan, as they do not want to strengthen a direct rival. The French defender has fallen out of favour at Barcelona and spent the last season on loan with Aston Villa.
Lenglet has a high salary and is not part of Hansi Flick’s plan moving forward, so a departure either on a permanent or a loan deal seems to be a practicable solution for both parties. Barcelona are yet to register Inigo Martinez and Dani Olmo, whereas Flick will have limited options in his first La Liga game against Valencia.
