Lamine Yamal’s market value increases by a whopping €134 million
Lamine Yamal has been a sensation for Barcelona since debuting for the senior team last year. As he scored six goals in 41 appearances across the competition so far, his market value has also skyrocketed over the last few months.
Back in October, Yamal was valued at just €11 million, but before he even played against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter final, the value had reached €145 million, increased €134 million according to CIES Football Observatory.
Increasing stardom and top performances have increased Lamine Yamal’s market value
Yamal has gone through a lot in the past 12 months. Not only earning his Barca senior debut, the La Masia graduate also earned his first senior national team call-up under Luis de la Fuente.
He even scored in that debut, making him the youngest Spanish national to score in the international match at 16 years and 57 days old. This increasing stardom has attracted attention from PSG itself who proposed €200 million for Yamal to replace Kylian Mbappe according to Marca.
However, Barcelona have no intention to offload the young star, fencing him instead with a €100 million release clause. Yamal took part in the game when Barca beat PSG 3-2 at Parc des Princes in the first leg of the Champions League quarter final hours ago. He started the game before being subbed off in the second half to make way for Joao Felix.
