Barcelona 0-3 AS Monaco: Player ratings as the Catalans suffer heavy defeat in Joan Gamper Trophy final
Barcelona finished their pre-season on a bitter note as AS Monaco defeated the Blaugranas 3-0 at the Montjuic Olympic stadium. This game was the final of the 59th annual Joan Gamper trophy. Lamine Camara, Breel Embolo and Christian Maswissa were on the scoresheet for Monaco as the barca team gave a very poor performance in the second half.
The first half had very less chances though plenty of intensity was shown. Barca had some impressive passing combinations and were able to create danger, but the final ball was missing. They were solid in their defence and Marc Bernal stood out with his work in midfield. Monaco played well in patches but were not lethal in attack.
With just few days left for the La Liga opener, Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick will have quite a lot of work to do before the real game begins.
