Atalanta 2-3 Napoli player ratings as Romelu Lukaku’s winner helps the Azzurri to go six points clear in Serie A

Napoli defeated Atalanta on Saturday in the Serie A to go six points clear at the top of the table courtesy to Romelu Lukaku’s winner in the 78th minute. The Belgian striker found the net, scoring his eighth goal for Napoli from a perfectly placed cross by Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa. Along with Lukaku, Matteo Politano and Scott Mctominay were also on the score sheet for the team.

Atalanta suffered a major setback in their title bid, as this defeat was their first one in Italy’s top division since September. Gasperini’s team initially took the lead with Mateo Retegui finding the back of the net. Ademola Lookman’s equaliser just after halftime gave Atalanta optimism, but after drawing their past three games, they currently sit in third place, seven points outside the title fight.
