Aston Villa announces Marco Asensio & Axel Disasi arrivals on loan on Deadline day

The English Premier League club Aston Villa completed two more January signings to bolster their squad for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign. The Spanish International Marco Asensio from PSG and French centre-back Axel Disasi from Chelsea, respectively.

Unai Emery’s managed side have made significant reinforcements to the team ahead of a busy second half of the ongoing season competing in the UEFA Champions League and Premier League.

The three-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, Asensio has only appeared 12 times including 10 starts and two goals across all competitions for the Parisians under Luis Enrique this season. the winger has capped 38 appearances for Spain.

Whereas Disasi, who had agreed to join the Villians a week ago, has played 17 matches for Chelsea in all competitions. Tottenham Hotspur was also in talks to sign the 26-year-old defender, however, he rejected the offers, as per reports.

The Midland Club will be covering the entire salary of the loan duo, and they paid £5m fee for the Chelsea defender. Notably, there’s no permanent buy close in the loan deal of both the players, they will be leave the club after the loan term is completed in the summer.
