Aston Villa announces Amadou Onana’s signing from Everton

After days of negotiation, it is official that Aston Villa will have Amadou Onana as one of their players for the 2024/25 season. The Belgian international arrived at the Bodymoor Heath to have his first interview as a Villa player. 

The Villans are desperate to sign Onana as a replacement for Moussa Diaby who is reportedly close to joining the Saudi side, Al Ittihad. Reports suggested that Villa paid around £50 million to secure Onana’s signature. 

Onana has only spent two seasons with Everton since coming from the French side Lille. During his time with The Toffees, he appeared in the club’s 72 games and scored four goals in the process.
