Arsenal reportedly monitoring Brighton forward Joao Pedro
The Gunners have reportedly taken an interest in Brighton forward Joao Pedro, who has been earmarked as a potential replacement for Eddie Nketiah, who is close to joining Marseille this summer.
Nkeitah has agreed to personal terms with the Ligue 1 giants and talks over a fee are ongoing between both clubs. Joao Pedro has been identified as someone who could replace Nketiah, and Brighton would be prepared to sell at £50m, which is a significant profit compared to the £30 million they paid last summer.
The 22-year-old scored 20 goals in 40 appearances for the Seagulls last season and his addition to Arteta’s setup would bolster Arsenal’s attacking options this season.
