Arsenal have sealed the signing of Ajax goalkeeper Tommy Setford

The Gunners have completed the signing of an 18-year-old goalkeeper Tommy Setford from Ajax. Arsenal have accepted a fee in the north of € 1 million for the England international who had only a year left on his Ajax contract.

The youngster who has developed in the famed Ajax academy holds dual nationality and will continue his development in England for the next four years. He represented the England side from under-16s to under-20s.

Tommy said: “I want to thank Arsenal for this opportunity. I can’t wait to hit the ground running. I’m looking forward to learning new things next season and pushing myself to another level. For the short term, it’s very important now to get a feel for the group and start to know everyone.”
