Arsenal considering moving Aaron Ramsdale out on loan with Newcastle and Chelsea interested

The England international is reportedly on the verge of a move this summer after David Raya took over the No.1 spot from the Englishman following his loan move from Brentford last season.

Ramsdale is eager to leave the North London giants but his £35 million valuation is proving to be a stumbling block for potential suitors. Chelsea and Newcastle United showed a heavy interest in the Arsenal outcast earlier this summer.

If no permanent buyers are found for Ramsdale, Arsenal would consider loaning the goalkeeper in the 2024/25 season.

Which clubs could target Aaron Ramsdale this summer?

Premier League giants, Chelsea and Newcastle United earlier have expressed an interest in the 26-year-old England goalkeeper. Chelsea are seeking a new keeper following the arrival of Enzo Maresca as current options, Petrovic and Sanchez, do not meet the club’s standards. But, the Blues have ruled out Ramsdale as a target as they are keen on signing 22-year-old Filip Jorgensen this summer.

Newcastle United, on the other hand, are interested in the Arsenal outcast, but are not willing to meet their £35 million asking price. Eddie Howie is on the market for a new shot-stopper to provide competition for Nick Pope, who missed some part of last season due to a dislocated shoulder.
