Arsenal and PSG get Victor Osimhen transfer boost as Antonio Conte likely to go with other option at Napoli
As per football transfer market expert – ‘Fabrizio Romano’, Serie A club Napoli’s star Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen was not part of their playing eleven and wasn’t called up for their pre-season game against La Liga side Girona.
Romano has further laid down that – Napoli and Osimhen are reportedly working on the prospect of the striker leaving the club this window and finding an adequate suitor for him.
Doors are open for the 25-year-old to leave the Italian club this summer window as Romano enlisted that Naples’ new manager Antonio Conte wants Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku to lead the line from the upcoming season.
Meanwhile ‘TEAMtalk’ claim reports in Spain insist that Victor Osimhen is likely to choose between Arsenal and PSG as his next club before this window closes. The report also curtails that Premier League’s Arsenal are willing to meet the hefty price tag of around €100 million that Napoli is asking for Osimhen.
Victor Osimhen has also been heavily linked with Arsenal’s London rivals Chelsea in the ongoing transfer window. According to ‘Football Transfers’, despite Chelsea continuing to push for the Nigerian international, they might struggle to get a deal over the line for him. The 25-year-old’s current contract with Napoli runs till June 2026.
It would be interesting to find out where Osimhen lands at the end of this transfer window.
