Alejandro Garnacho hits Man United record which even Cristiano Ronaldo failed to achieve
In his 25th Premier League game for Manchester United this season, Alejandro Garnacho did something that even Cristiano Ronaldo failed to achieve. The Argentinian was fouled twice inside the box, in the 12th and 36th minutes. Leading to United’s two penalties in the first half when facing Everton.
That was the first time, for a United player since the inauguration of the Premier League, doing so. The two penalties were successfully converted into goals by Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.

Alejandro Garnacho is improving with Man United
Garnacho’s league goals tally has been improving since last season. Up to today’s appearance for The Red Devils so far, the Ronaldo fanboy has scored five goals. Last season, he only managed to score three in 19 games.
Erik Ten Hag’s squad has not tasted the sweetness of a victory for the past two games, losing to Fulham and Manchester City in the process. Garnacho’s contribution during the first half against Everton is likely to end such gloomy records.
The Madrid-born youngster is among the young genes whom Ten Hag has put his trust. Earlier this week, The Dutchman said he was impressed with the quality that the young players have shown so far. Initially speaking about Kobbie Mainoo, Ten Hag also put Garnacsho into his statement.
“We have more young players like Garnacho, like Hojlund, like Omari Forson, like [Amad] Diallo. Antony is also young,” the said. “We have many good, young players and we have to develop their skill set, being in the team feeling a stronger connection with Manchester United, a real winning attitude. That is a base to winning trophies.”
Garnacho has emerged as a new idol among the fans. Last season, he was part of United’s title-winning squad in the League Cup. Playing from the fourth round to the semifinal, he watched the whole final match from the bench.
Gaining recognition from Wayne Rooney
Another magical moment Garnacho, who is a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo has shown at the dawn of his United career was the bicycle kick against Everton back in November. That moment drew the attention of the club’s former player Wayne Rooney who used the same method, on the derby day of 2011.
“I have always said, it is harder to score with your shin!” Rooney said via the club’s website. “I honestly don’t know [whether it struck my shin or my foot]. “I think Garnacho’s was better. I think Garnacho’s goal was better, but I think doing it against Manchester City was a better game.”
