Al Shabab eye Nemanja Gudelj from Sevilla
Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab has initiated talks to sign Nemanja Gudelj from Sevilla according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Serbian international who recently extended his contract with the La Liga side until 2026 is now on the radar of the ambitious Saudi Pro League.
Gudelj (32) has been a key player for Sevilla since joining in 2019 after stints at Sporting Lisbon and Guangzhou Evergrande. His versatility in being capable of playing both as a midfielder and centre-back has made him a valuable asset.

Nemanja Gudelj could face a hard-to-refuse deal from Saudi club
The 32-year-old Serbian international is facing an enticing offer from Al Shabab that may be difficult to turn down, considering their financial prowess.
Al Shabab may not have the same prestige as Sevilla, but they are likely capable of purchasing the entire Sevilla squad with their riches. Such offers are difficult to turn down at the age of 32, especially since no one can match the purchasing power of Saudi teams.
Although it’s true Gudelj has already made a good living in the East, but not in the Middle East or the Far East. In 2017, he astonished Europe by leaving Ajax for Tianjin Teda in China, where he received a whopping €5.2 million per year on a three-year deal.
Gudelj played a crucial role in Sevilla’s Europa League triumph in the 2022/23 season and has featured in 53 matches and scored four goals.
While his commitment to Sevilla is evident with the recent contract renewal, the prospect of a lucrative move to Al Shabab could tempt the Serbian to explore a new challenge in the Middle East.
The negotiations are ongoing and it will be interesting to see if Sevilla can hold onto their experienced stalwart.
