Al Nassr plots double transfer to lift Ronaldo’s spirits following Super Cup loss
Al Nassr plans to soothe poster boy Cristiano Ronaldo with a huge double signing after witnessing the captain’s anger in the side’s Saudi Super Cup final loss.
Ronaldo faced another loss to familiar foes at the start of the season to Al Hilal in the final at Abha, Saudi Arabia. This 4-1 defeat has left the Al Nassr board in a state of turmoil.
After scoring the opener, Al Hilal went rampant netting four times to win the match, while the second goal instigated Ronaldo to make a sleeping gesture to mock the players blaming them for the embarrassing performance.
Later the Saudi club decided to bring in two key signings to ease the burden of Ronaldo.
The first player under the radar is Ramos, a free agent currently, which means the option to move to Al-Nassr is still in the cards if the deal between the club and the player materializes.
As per reports the second on the list for Al Nassr is Ronaldo Portuguese’s teammate Rafael Leao.
Despite the AC Milan winger being linked to Barcelona reposts suggest the 25-year-old seems to have eyes on the Saudi Pro League move, worth €70million.
However, the timing was wrong, in February Leao committed his future to Milan, having been there for 5 years.
“My future is at AC Milan. I’m here and I still have a four-year contract. Milan helped me when I was in a very difficult situation, they stood by me. I don’t forget, I am loyal. I arrived as a young boy, and here I have grown as a man and as a footballer. I want to win again, my head is here.” said the star.
