Aaron Wan-Bissaka keen to move to West Ham United this summer
The Manchester United defender joined Old Trafford from Crystal Palace in a deal worth €50m five years ago. But he has lost his starting place to Diogo Dalot over the past two seasons and has only made 18 starts for United last season.
With his contract expiring next summer, Man United are willing to cash in on the defender this summer and are holding out a €20 million fee for the English defender. He hasn’t really lived up to the expectations at Old Trafford and a departure seems to be on the cards now.
West Ham United is reportedly interested in signing Man United outcast Aaron Wan-Bissaka
The 26-year-old defender is arguably one of the best man-to-man defenders in the Premier League and has attracted interest from West Ham and a few Turkish clubs. Wan-Bissaka reportedly isn’t in favour of a switch to Turkey which leaves the door open for Julen Lopetegui.
West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui is keen to bolster their right full-back position this summer and Wan-Bissaka would be a perfect addition to the Hammers’ first-team roster.
Wan-Bissaka would be allowed to leave for free next summer but Erik ten Hag is prepared to let him leave this summer for a nominal fee of €20m. He has hardly been a failure at Old Trafford but has produced some underwhelming performances at times.
The English defender is reportedly also interested in moving to the London Stadium who would be a major improvement on current Hammers right-back Vladimir Coufal.
Kyle Walker-Peters has also been linked with a move to West Ham United, so the Hammers have a few options if the Wan-Bissaka deal doesn’t fall through.
