Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili open to Liverpool move
Liverpool are eyeing a move for Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who has been considered a long-term replacement for first-choice goalkeeper Alisson. The 23-year-old goalkeeper currently plies his trade with La Liga outfit Valencia and is reportedly open to a move to Anfield this summer.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have the option to sign the goalkeeper and send him back on loan to the Mestalla in this transfer window. The Reds are now in pole position to sign the Georgian goalkeeper, who has also been linked with a move to Newcastle United.
Valencia are asking for a reported fee of β¬45 million for the 23-year-old’s services.
