Chelsea get huge transfer update on Victor Osimhen pursuit

The Blues have been given a big update on their pursuit of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who is expected to make a big-money move this summer. Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has revealed that the Nigerian international has asked for his transfer in this summer window.

Manna said: “Victor Osimhen has asked to leave the club. He wants to go. The situation is clear, there were already chances for his exit last summer. Victor wants to leave. We will see in the next 20 days.”

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for Osimhen, but are reluctant to meet Napoli’s asking price and are somehow keen to secure a loan deal for the 25-year-old striker. A potential swap deal has also been discussed which would see Romelu Lukaku going the other way.

Osimhen’s agent has rejected the possibility of a loan move this summer, but may be forced to change his demands due to Chelsea’s demands.
