Arsenal linked with Ligue 1 striker Jonathan David

The Gunners have turned their head towards Lille’s Jonathan David after Eddie Nketiah has agreed on a season-long loan move to Marseille with an option to make the deal permanent next summer.

The 24-year-old Canadian striker, who reportedly has a release clause of only £25m, scored scoring 19 goals in 34 Ligue 1 appearances last season. The North American offers a guarantee of goals, having scored at least 15 in each of his last three seasons with LOSC.

David’s ability to thrive in a possession-based setup makes him an attractive option for Mikel Arteta this summer.
