Fiorentina keen on Chelsea outcast Cesare Casadei

21-year-old Italian midfielder Cesare Casadei spent the first half of the 2023/24 season on loan at Leicester City under current Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, but was somehow not included in Chelsea’s pre-season tour in the United States.

Casadei is currently awaiting a potential transfer and Fiorentina have registered an interest in the former Inter Milan defender, who is expected to leave this summer. The Italian side are keen to sign the midfielder on loan, but are not ready to pay his entire salary which stands at €1 million net, plus bonuses.

The youngster has also been pursued by Lazio and Atalanta with Torino also joining the race.
