Real Madrid turn down Villarreal’s offer for Fran Garcia

Spanish side Villarreal have reportedly approached Real Madrid with the possibility of signing their talented left-back Fran Garcia. The 24-year-old faces an uncertain future at Santiago Bernabeu with Madrid’s heavy interest in Bayern defender Alphonso Davies.

Garcia featured in 25 La Liga matches for Madrid last season while bagging one goal and five assists in the process. However, Real Madrid have turned down Villarreal’s approach for the 24-year-old Spaniard, as they do not plan on selling him this summer window.

But, he will still remain behind Ferland Mendy in the pecking order after the defender signed a contract extension with the Champions League specialists.
