Liverpool contact Benfica to sign Manchester United target

Liverpool have reportedly contacted Benfica to sign Joao Neves this summer. The Portuguese star was linked with a move to Manchester United, with Erik ten Hag’s side still keen on signing him.

O Jogo are now reporting that Liverpool have entered the race to sign the youngster. He has a €120 million release clause in his contract and the Portuguese side are unwilling to negotiate a fee as they want the clause activated by any side interested in signing him.

Apart from Liverpool and Manchester United, reports have suggested that Arsenal, PSG and Manchester City also remain interested in signing the midfielder.
