5 potential players Liverpool could sign before the transfer market closes
Premier League is a week away from kicking off. All the contestants have prepared the season in the best possible ways, from playing a preseason outings to signing players to strengthening the squad. The latter is not the case with Liverpool as the Anfield-based side have not been busy with it. With the window transfer is near from closing, here are the five potential signings Liverpool could secure before the season starts.
Xavi Simons
Speaking of attackers, Liverpool have tons of options upfront. The likes of Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah could be ideal for Arne Slot game plan; all those names have agility and pace needed to make the scheme works.

Why bother looking for a right full-back when you have one of the best ones in the world? For years, Trent Alexander-Arnold made fans from other Premier League’s elite jealous of his presence in Liverpool. But this has become a two eyes of a sword phenomena for The Reds.
Trent, sometimes, could underperform and this would cause a major blow in Liverpool’s game plan. On the other hand, The Reds don’t have an equivalent replacement for seasons before Conor Bradley emerged to the surface last season.
Geertruida could again add competitions for other right full-back in Liverpool. His nationality and the language he speaks are also a plus as the club has several Dutch players in each post.
Martin Zubimendi
The midfielder has been a hot topic for the past few days following rumours of Liverpool trying to sign him. Since the declining form of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, The Reds struggled to find an even replacement.
Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo may be performing well last season but the two still show inconsistencies in some moments. Ryan Gravenberch, who is expected to carry the same responsibility, also struggled to even cement himself in the first team.
