Wolves likely to miss out on Porto defender David Carmo: Report
Since the departure of their former Captain and center-back Max Kilman, Wolves are reported to be in the market for another defender to fill in that void. However, as reported by ‘SportsMole’, the Old Gold are likely to miss out on one of their potential targets in the form of Porto’s David Carmo.
As per the report, the defender is looking to stay with Liga Portugal club Porto after the completion of a successful loan spell at Greek side Olympiacos last season. The Greek club also wants to have him back, but Carmo is insisting on staying in Portugal and chancing his luck under new manager Vitor Bruno.
The 24-year-old could have turned out to be a decent fit for Gary O’Neil’s Wolves in the Premier League, considering his aerial prowess and composure on the ball. David Carmo’s current contract with Porto runs till June 2027.
