Wolves Battle to keep their big hitters as interest from Liverpool peaks for a £100 million double swoop
According to ‘Birmingham Live’, Premier League’s Wolves are battling hard to keep their star players in the form of Pedro Neto and Rayan Ait-Nouri this summer amidst interest from Liverpool. While Neto has garnered interest from several other English clubs such as Arsenal, Man United, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur; Ait Nouri is reported to be also on the radar of Man United.
‘GiveMeSport’ has touched upon the point that Pedro Neto’s impressive performance in the last Premier League campaign under Gary O’Neil has sky-rocketed the Liverpool hierarchy’s interest in bringing him to Anfield. However, Wolves are expected to demand at least a sum of around £60 million for Neto if he is to depart the club this window. Not to forget that the Portuguese has three years left on his current contract at the Molineux.
When it comes to Rayan Ait-Nouri, rumored reports had it that he has a certain release clause of about £38 million in his current contract at Wolves. Reports had it that Arne Slot is a huge admirer of the Algerian left wing-back. This will make both the players (Neto and Ait-Nouri) combined worth just less than £100 million for Liverpool to think of any potential deal.
While it can’t be denied if the Reds do want to push Man City and Arsenal for the title race in the upcoming season, these are the sorts of deals they need to get over the line, to strengthen the backbone of their squad. However, they will have one strong eye on the Premier League’s PSR and FFP regimes as well.
