Erling Haaland is in doubt regarding his participation in the Man City vs Chelsea FA Cup semi-final to be held at Wembley Stadium due to a potential muscle injury as helmed by various reports. The Norweigan striker was substituted before City’s Champions League quarterfinal clash against Real Madrid preceded into the extra time at the Etihad.
Upon his substitution, the club’s manager Pep Guardiola inflicted – “Erling felt something a muscular issue”. Pep further went on to state how his team has played a decent chunk of games leading into this later part of the season and a few injury scares here and there are quite imminent to have at this stage. “It’s normal, with the amount of games we have played this season and in the previous seasons”, he reportedly asserted.
As things stand there is no major information from Man City’s hierarchy regarding the latest on Erling Haaland’s injury and his availability for their FA Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea, but reports do register that Haaland starting against the Londoners is not a hundred percent possibility as of now.
