West Ham still alive in Sergi Roberto chase

The Hammers are keen on signing Barcelona defender Sergi Roberto after his contract with the Catalan giants expired last month. The Spaniard, who came up the ranks at La Masia, was reduced to a squad player in recent seasons.

West Ham are keen to add more quality and experience in the backline and could secure a move for Roberto, whose versatility can also give Julen Lopetegui some more tactical options in the midfield position.

This would be a bargain deal for the Hammers as Roberto’s experience and leadership qualities would be a valuable addition for the Premier League side.
