Virgil Van Dijk admits ‘no change’ in his contract situation
Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk has entered the final year of his contract with the club and is yet to receive a new contract offer from the Merseyside giants. The veteran centre-back will become a free agent next summer if Liverpool doesn’t offer him a new contract.
He is one of the three players alongside Mo Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold whose contracts are up at the end of the 2024/25 season and there are serious concerns over the future of the trio next summer.
Van Dijk made his 100th home appearance for the Reds against Brentford and put in a solid display at the back.
