Vinícius Junior launches €3.3 million project to transform abandoned school into a Community Hub
Real Madrid star Vinícius Junior is taking his philanthropy efforts to the next level by investing €3.3 million to revitalize an abandoned school in his hometown of Sao Goncalo.
The Brazilian forward is turning the deactivated Ciep 040 Porto do Rosa Intercultural Brazil-Russia school into a vibrant centre for education, sports, and culture.

Vinícius Junior, who grew up in the Porto do Rosa neighborhood is deeply connected to his roots. Through his Vinícius Junior Institute, he secured the rights to the school’s land which had been closed for nearly a decade.
The project will breathe new life into the area providing much-needed resources to the local community.
The planned center will be a multifunctional space offering free programs and activities. It will serve up to 5,000 people daily, focusing on educational workshops, sports training, and cultural events.
