The 23-year-old Feyenoord forward has registered 23 goals and six assists in 30 games in the Eredivisie this season. He failed to make it to the World Cup squad in 2022 but the striker looks like the only Mexican player to make his mark in Copa America this summer. Gimenez has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Arsenal and Liverpool both battling for the forward’s signature.

Venezuela vs Mexico Prediction

Venezuela national football team have been labeled as one of the underdogs for Copa America this summer. They made a historic comeback in their last game against Ecuador to secure a 2-1 win in their opening game of the tournament. Their best-ever finish in the South American tournament came in 2011 when they secured the fourth position in the competition. But La Vinotinto have a poor track record against Mexico who are favorites to top the group.

Mexico national football team, meanwhile, are favourites to secure an easy three points. Jaime Lozano’s side sustained a 2-0 defeat to the United States in the final of the Concacaf Nations League. They scraped out a 1-0 victory over Jamaica in the opening game of the 2024 Copa America.

Predicted Score: Venezuela 0-2 Mexico
