UEFA Euro 2024 Final: All you need to know ahead of Spain vs England clash

The UEFA Euro 2024 final is set. Spain will take on England as they battle it out to lift the trophy at the end of the final whistle. While both sides couldn’t have had more contrasting journeys to the Euro 2024 final, all that matters now on the pitch at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Sunday, July 14.

Spain have won three Euros in the past – 1964, 2008 and 2012. England, meanwhile, are looking for their maiden Euros trophy. They came close last time out but lost against Italy on penalties at Wembley in the final in 2021.

Not only were both teams were on different sides of the draw, but they were also on different ends of the spectrum during the tournament as well.

Spain have been excellent to watch, attacking throughout 90 minutes while maintaining proper control of the games. England, meanwhile, have been lucky in a lot of games and have failed to impress until their semi-final clash.

Spain have been perfect in Germany so far. They hammered Croatia 3-0 before beating Italy and Albania 1-0 to top Group B. They then comfortably got past Georgia, beating them 4-1 before facing hosts Germany.

While Die Mannschaft battled hard, La Roja landed the final blow in the 119th minute to win it 2-1 and reach the semi-finals. Here, Spain saw off France with ease, winning 2-1 despite an early goal from Randal Kolo Muani.

England, meanwhile, started their Euro 2024 campaign with a 1-0 win over Serbia before drawing against Denmark (1-1) and Slovenia (0-0). They got past Slovakia after extra time in the Round of 16 before escaping against Switzerland on penalties in the quarter-finals.

The Three Lions then beat the Netherlands 2-1 via an 89th-minute winner from Ollie Watkins in the semi-finals. They have reached their second Euros final in a row and will hope to go all the way this time.

UEFA Euro 2024 Final Prediction

It looks set to be a gritting battle between the two sides in the final. While Spain have been the entertainers at Euro 2024, England have been more pragmatic. The midfield is arguably where it will be won or lost, with both sides boasting incredible players.

While England have tried to be solid, they have made a few errors. They have also had a much easier run to the final and have still looked shaky despite recent improvement. Spain, meanwhile, have demolished every opponent they have faced in the tournament.

Given the quality of the players, the play style, and their form, Spain should be able to lift their fourth Euros trophy in Berlin on Sunday.

Score Prediction: Spain 3-1 England
