Top 10 Players With Most Champions League Goals 2024-25

The UEFA Champions League 2024-25 is underway with a new format that has given space to several new teams in the elite tournament. The 2024/25 Champions League top scorers’ list has also seen some new names in it just like its rebranded format. 

The list of the 2023/24 Champions League was dominated by the likes of Harry Kane and Vinicius Junior. The English forward netted eight for Bayern Munich, four in the group stage and as many goals in the knockouts. But, the scenario has changed after the shift of the tournament’s formation. Until the end of the last season, only 32 teams participated in the main stage of the Champions League. But, after the revamp of the biggest club tournament, 36 teams have taken part in the first season of the new format.

10. Jonathan David (Lille, 4 goals)

A surprising name in the scoring sheet of the UEFA Champions League is Jonathan David, who has been making waves with his scoring prowess this season. He has accumulated four goals and one assist in six games and is in contention to become the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League top scorer. 

9. Julian Alvarez (Atletico Madrid, 4 goals)

Julian Alvarez is another name on the 2024/25 Champions League top scorers’ list. The former Manchester City forward has emerged as a major attacking option for Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid in quick succession. He has already scored four goals in six UCL games this season. The Argentine forward has 12 goals from 24 games this season in all competitions.

8. Viktor Gyokeres (Sporting CP, 5 goals)

The in-form Swedish striker scored a sensational hat-trick against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City when the Premier League side visited Lisbon. Later, he scored two more goals against Sturm Graz and Lille to become one of the highest goal-scorers in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League. 

7. Harry Kane (Bayern Munich, 5 goals)

The top scorer of the Champions League 2023/24, Harry Kane is once again in contention to retain the title as he has already racked up five goals in six appearances this season. The English football team captain scored only one goal in his first five UCL games. But, his four-goal rampage against Dinamo Zagreb, where Bayern thrashed their opponents 9-2, has brought him into the top scorer’s race in the Champions League 2024/25. 

6. Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid, 5 goals)

The young Brazilian prodigy of Real Madrid is another prominent name on the list of 2024/25 Champions League top scorers. Vinicius Junior is currently enjoying a great spell of success in European football as he has amassed five goals and one assist in six matches. He scored a hat-trick against Borussia Dortmund including a sensational goal that earned him the UCL Goal of the Week award. 

5. Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen, 5 goals)

It’s no surprise anymore to see the name of Florian Wirtz in a top scorers’ list, given his current scoring exploits with Bayer Leverkusen. The German attacker has already recorded five goals and one assist in just six matches to become one of the top 10 players with most goals in the 2024/25 Champions League. 

4. Erling Haaland (Manchester City, 5 goals)

The serial scorer of Manchester City Erling Haaland is once again going after the award for the top scorer of the UEFA Champions League this season after netting five goals in six matches. The Norwegian scored two braces against Sparta Prague and Feyenoord, and is hungry for more goals, with two matches remaining at the group stage.

Barcelona are having a dream run in Europe this season, having won five out of their six games. Raphinha is one of the key players who has orchestrated this glorious fate of the Spanish giants with his hunt for goals. The Brazilian attacker stunned Bayern Munich with a hat-trick at home. With six goals and two assists under his belt, Raphinha is one of the 2024/25 Champions League top scorers. 

2. Serhou Guirassy (Borussia Dortmund, 6 goals)

A surprise name on the top-scoring list of the 2024/25 Champions League is Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy. The Guinean forward has been one of the most consistent goal-scorers in Europe this season as he was on the scoring sheet on four occasions in six matches. Guirassy netted a brace against Barcelona at home, but couldn’t lift his side from a 2-3 home defeat. He has six goals and two assists to his name in the Champions League this season.

1. Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona, 7 goals)

Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski is currently the top scorer of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League with seven goals. The Polish striker recorded three braces in six UCL games this season including a goal against his former club Bayern Munich at Camp Nou. He scored only three goals in last season’s European tournament.
