Tottenham in advance talks with London rivals Bournemouth for 26-year-old striker: Report
According to ‘Sky Sports News‘, Premier League’s Tottenham Hotspur is in ‘advance’ talks with neighbors Bournemouth to put a potential deal in place for Cherries’ star striker Dominic Solanke.
Spurs have been linked with a move for Solanke severely in the ongoing transfer window, and now it seems like things are advancing to the next stage as far as the club’s hierarchy’s interest in bringing the player to Ange Postecoglou’s squad is concerned.
While it has been earlier reported that the 26-year-old has a release clause of around £65 million in his current contract at Bournemouth, ‘Sky Sports’ on ‘Instagram’ has laid out that it is only applicable to certain clubs (in the scenario of sale to specified clubs). The report also indicates that Tottenham made their formal approach for Solanke on Thursday, August 8.
However, now, it remains to be seen how the financial aspect of the deal pans out between Spurs and Bournemouth for the United Kingdom-born forward. But, it will be a no-brainer that Tottenham’s fans would be quite satisfied with their side’s persistent attempt to dig out a striker with massive potential this window.
Solanke’s current contract with Bournemouth is till June 2027. The center-forward had been in a hot streak of form in front of the goal lately netting 19 goals and registering three assists for Cherries in the last Premier League campaign.
