Tottenham Hotspur ousted Manchester City 2-1 in the round of 16 of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. Timo Werner and Pape Matar Sarr struck apiece in the opening 25 minutes of the kick-off, before Matheus Nunes pulled one back for the Sky Blues in the added minutes of the opening stanza. Pep Guardiola’s side continued to push for the elusive equalizer, but fell short, as they saw their title ambitions crushed. Here are the player ratings:
