Tottenham confirm loan departure of defender to Championship side

As per a recent report by ‘Football London‘, Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur has ‘confirmed’ the exit of their young defender Ashley Phillips on loan to EFL Championship side Stoke City for the eternity of the 2024-25 top-flight campaign.

Phillips was sent on loan for the second half of the last season as well where he played for another Championship side in the form of Plymouth Argyle. The 19-year-old made 18 appearances in the Championship for the club and apart from his defensive contributions also chipped in with three goals.

Ashley Phillips now is among the list of other players like Alejo Veliz, Bryan Gil, and Dane Scarlett who departed Spurs on a temporary basis in the ongoing summer transfer window. Tottenham also loaned out Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Ligue 1 side Marseille.
