Tottenham and Arsenal to battle it out for highly rated Wolves’ winger

As per ‘CaughtOffside’, two Premier League clubs and fierce North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are Arsenal are set to battle it out in the ongoing summer transfer window to sign Wolves’ star Portuguese winger Pedro Neto.

Both the clubs have been linked with a potential move for the player, pretty much since the transfer window opened. Reports had it that Wolves are expected to shelve a fee of around £55-60 million for Neto if he is to depart the club before the window closes.

‘CaughtOffside’ has laid out that, Spurs have been recently involved in talks with a few people close to the Portuguese player to inquire about his current situation. Also, Ange Postecoglou is an admirer of Pedro Neto and reportedly believes that the 24-year-old can make a difference at the Spurs.

However, reports in the English media insisted that Arsenal and Mikel Arteta may be looking at Neto as a perfect backup option for Bukayo Saka on the wings, and someone who can step in whenever required in certain situations.

This very thing might eradicate Neto’s interest in joining the Gunners and might tilt the favors towards Tottenham as there he may well end up getting more and consistent first-team minutes.

Amidst all these, Newcastle United has also been linked with the Wolves’ Neto. It is reportedly held that the Toons also contacted the player’s entourage to discuss their interest in him. While Pedro Neto has stated that he is “happy” at Wolves, a big-money move can’t be ruled out at this moment in time.
