Timo Werner ‘in talks’ with MLS club for an Unexpected move

The German International, Timo Werner has emerged as a topic of interest for Major League (MLS) club New York Red Bulls, as the American club is looking to sign Werner from the Premier League during the ongoing January window.

As per an exclusive report emerging from a French outlet Foot Mercato has claimed that the New York Red Bulls have contacted Werner for a potential move to the United States to end his struggling loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 28-year-old is still under contract with Bundesliga club RB Leipzig until June 2026. However, the report indicates, that a potential move in the coming days is feasible only if all the parties involved could ‘find common ground’.

Also to be noted that Red Bull Group owns both Leipzig and New York Red Bulls, thus, the two clubs are in talks over a short-term move for the former Chelsea striker.
