Three El Clasico’s in Next Two Months? Know How It Can Be Possible
The intense rivalry between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid is popularly known as El Clasico and is one of the most famous fixtures not only in the history of football but in sports as well. As of the 2024-2025 season, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are already to set face each other twice in the next two months and also possibly a third time as well.
FC Barcelona and Real Madrid have faced each other in 302 matches across all competitions in their history. Real Madrid have won 105 matches whereas FC Barcelona have won 102 matches and the remaining 52 have ended in a draw.
FC Barcelona and Real Madrid can also face each other in the UEFA Champions League finals since both teams are faring well. FC Barcelona will have to beat Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals, then the winner of Bayern Munich vs Inter Milan in the semi-finals to reach the final. Real Madrid, on the other hand, will have to beat Arsenal in the quarter- finals, then the winner of PSG vs Aston Villa in the semi-finals to reach the finals.
Confirmed El Clasico Fixtures in the Next Two Months
1) Copa Del Rey Final – 26th April
FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are set to face each other in another final this season. The first final was the Spanish Super Cup in which Barcelona thrashed Madrid 5-2 to lift the title. Both teams have progressed to the finals after beating their respective opponents on aggregate in the semi-finals.
Barcelona faced Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals, in which the first leg ended 4-4 and then the second leg ended 1-0. On the other hand, Real Madrid sailed through smoothly in the first leg, beating Sociedad 1-0, but then had to endure an unexpected 4-4 draw in the second leg.
2) La Liga – 11th May
FC Barcelona are set to host Real Madrid at their home stadium this season in a La Liga fixture. Barca already beat them once this season at Santiago Bernabeu, where they won 4-0.
The El Clásico encounter in La Liga will play a crucial role in deciding who wins the 2024-2025 La Liga title since Barcelona are first with 66 points and Madrid are second with 63 points.
