3 best Nkunku replacements in FPL 24/25 ahead of GW3
Christopher Nkunku was hyped up by most experts as a player to have in FPL. His price point of £6.5m is considered very cheap for the performances he had shown in the Bundesliga. However, at Chelsea, it hasn’t been the same after spending last season out injured. This season, he seems to be behind the likes of Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto, and Joao Felix all seemingly ahead in the pecking order right now. So it is time to replace Nkunku, but with who?
1. Koaru Mitoma
Koaru Mitoma is at the time of writing priced £0.2m higher than Nkunku. The two had started off at the same price. Given Brighton‘s form at the start of the season (they have beaten Everton 3-0 and Manchester United 2-1), this is a very exciting option.
Whatever injury Mitoma might have had, he looks like he’s completely recovered now. He has 14 points in 2 GWs with a goal and an assist to his name. Given Brighton’s form and Mitoma’s own start to the season, expect healthy returns frequently. Mitoma had been a huge FPL favourite before his injury, and now it seems like he’s back to his best.
2. Noni Madueke
You can replace Christopher Nkunku with someone straight from Chelsea itself. Noni Madueke is also available at £6.5, and the way things are at the moment, he seems like a great option. After barely getting a look in last season under Mauricio Pochettino, Madueke seems like he’s become an undisputed starter under Enzo Marcesca.
Against Wolves in GW2, he scored a stunning hattrick, to really put all FPL managers on notice. He also built up a good partnership with Cole Palmer, who assisted all 3 of Madueke’s goals this weekend. He is good goalscorer and last season in about 1000 minutes, he had 5 goals and 2 assists.
3. Alejandro Garnacho
Last season, Alejandro Garnacho broke through and established himself as a first-choice starter at Manchester United. This is the season he is expected to have his performances count in terms of numbers as well. Like last season, he is again certain to play nearly every game, playing on either wing as per the need of the team.
Garnacho is available at £6.5m, the same price as Nkunku. In the first two GWs of this season, Garnacho has accumulated 5 points, with an assist to his name. He would have more had a goal in the second GW too, but it was struck off for an unfortunate offside. Expect him to come good.
