“Nothing has been solved at all!”: Thomas Muller comments after the draw against Arsenal

Bayern Munich hoped for the Champions League as the only silverware they could win this season. Thomas Muller and co are still in title contention after pushing for a draw in an away game against Arsenal in the first leg. However, Muller said that a draw against The Gunners was not a guarantee that his team would be back on the winning track.

According to Muller, the result at the Emirates Stadium earlier this week was not a sign of Bayern’s resurrection. The two-time Champions League winner said that his team is still struggling to play consistently this season and does have a lot to improve.

“Nothing has been solved at all!” Muller said via Goal “Of course there is a fundamental dissatisfaction when you look at the overall picture: where we are in the Bundesliga, what our statistics look like and how often we have lost in the league. 

We have problems winning games consistently. We always had good games – but not the kind you would expect from FC Bayern.” 

Bayern was leading before half-time over Arsenal after Harry Kane slotted the ball into David Raya’s net from the spot. It was Leandro Trossard who avoided Bayern to win the game with his goal in the 76th minute.

Bayern have a decent record when it comes to playing against Arsenal in the European competition, mainly at Allianz Arena. Out of six home games against The Gunners, Bayern won it five times, scoring 15 goals and conceding six goals. 

In the Bundesliga, it is just a matter of time for Bayern to lose the title as they are now trailing 16 points to the top tabler Bayer Leverkusen. The current league loss to Heidnheim seems to make every hope of winning the title 13 seasons in a row, are shattered.
