Barcelona secured a convincing 1-4 win against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Sunday despite being reduced to 10 men around the 62nd minute of the game. This win helped Barcelona close the gap at the top of the La Liga table to two points, as both its rivals, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, shared the spoils when they faced each other a day earlier.

The game started with two early goals from both sides. Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring for Barcelona in the 7th minute, and just after the moment Sevilla equalised through Ruben Vargas’s shot at the back post. Despite the equaliser, Barcelona dominated the proceedings of the game, and just after the first half, substitute Fermin Lopez made an immediate impact to make the score 2-1.

Brazilian winger Raphinha made the score 3-1 shortly after with a good effort playing the ball behind the opposition goalkeeper Orjan Nyland.
