Saudi Pro League clubs cool their interest in Casemiro

The Brazilian midfielder was one of the best performers in Erik ten Hag’s debut campaign for Manchester United, but his form took a nosedive in his second season for the Red Devils. After a disastrous 2023/24 campaign, Casemiro has been linked with an exit after a few Saudi Pro League clubs took interest in the former Real Madrid midfielder.

The 32-year-old has two years left on his contract and is currently the second-highest earner with a reported £340,000 per week in wages. Al Nassr were keen to make a move for Casemiro but have now reportedly cooled their interest in the Brazilian.

A move to Saudi Arabia was the only realistic destination for the veteran midfielder due to his mammoth weekly wages.
