Rodrygo Credits Real Madrid Star Midfielder for His Progress at Bernabeu
In a heartwarming revelation, Rodrygo has opened up about the invaluable support he has received from Luka Modric, hailing the veteran midfielder as a father figure during his time at Real Madrid.
Since joining the club as a young talent in 2019, Rodrygo has emerged as a key figure in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad. However, the journey to success hasn’t been without its challenges, and the Brazilian forward credits Modric for helping him navigate through difficult moments.
Expressing his gratitude towards Modric, Rodrygo emphasized the pivotal role the Croatian maestro has played in his development, stating, “I always say Luka Modric has been a father to me. He has always helped me in difficult moments.”
Reflecting on a specific instance of support from Modric, Rodrygo recounted how the seasoned midfielder’s words of encouragement provided him with reassurance and confidence.
“He was talking to me. He told me: ‘Don’t worry, you’re very good, things are going to turn out well.’ And from there I started to feel calmer and things went better for me,” shared Rodrygo.
Amidst his blossoming relationship with Modric, Rodrygo has established himself as a mainstay in Real Madrid’s attacking lineup, amassing an impressive record of 199 appearances, 50 goals, and 39 assists for Los Blancos.
