Richarlison Injury: When will Brazilian forward return for Tottenham?
Tottenham Hotspur were dealt a big blow as Brazilian striker Richarlison was ruled out with a knee injury. With Tottenham in the race to finish in a top 4 spot the Richarlison injury could prove to be a major setback, but luckily for Tottenham fans, Ange Postecoglou has offered an update on Richarlison’s return.

In Ange Postecoglou’s first season at Tottenham, the club has looked very impressive. Despite losing English striker Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, Ange has led the club to the 5th spot. However, as the business end of the season approaches, the club has been dealt some harsh news with an injury list which is piling up. The latest casualty; Richarlison.
The Brazilian striker has struggled all season long, and he finally found his stride in the last few weeks. In his last 10 appearances for the club in the Premier League, Richarlison had scored an impressive nine goals. For context, he had scored only one goal in his prior 12 appearances. However, after the game against Wolves, it seems that Richarlison picked up a knee injury in the game. Now, the striker is facing a considerable amount of time on the sidelines in a phase of the season where his absence could be detrimental to Tottenham’s near future.
Richarlison Injury: When will he return for Tottenham Hotspur?
Speaking to the media before Tottenham’s tie against Crystal Palace, Ange told the press that Richarlison picked up the knee injury in the tie against Wolves. Elaborating further on the return of Richarlison, the gaffer said, “ Richarlison is out for two to three weeks.”
If the timeline for Richarlison’s return holds, the Brazilian will miss some key fixtures for Spurs. Next weekend Tottenham are set to take on 4th placed Aston Villa in a direct battle for 4th place. Without the striker, Spurs might struggle to finish in front of goal. The ex-Watford man will also miss Tottenham’s visit to Fulham. If he struggles to recover, he will possibly miss the fixture against Luton Town at the end of the month. All these games could be crucial to Tottenham’s aspirations of finishing in a Champions League spot.
