Rennes close to an agreement to sign Mikayil Faye

Barcelona defender Mikayil Faye is set to leave Camp Nou for Ligue 1 club Rennes in a €10 million deal plus €5m in add-ons. The youngster only joined the club last summer, but does not hold a long-term future with the Catalan outfit.

The club are working hard to sanction departures to improve their financial situation in the closing weeks of the transfer window. Mikayil Faye did not get a chance to impress in the first-team, but was impressive for Barcelona Atletic last season.

Faye has also attracted interest from Porto and Besiktas, but Rennes have won the race for the youngster’s signature.
